Horror Movie Recommendation:
The Deep House

When I say underwater horror movie, I mean UNDERWATER HORROR MOVIE! The Deep House was shot almost entirely underwater! That alone is interesting enough to watch, but it gets better.

Watch underwater Horror movie The Deep House

The Deep House follows Tina (Camille Rowe) and Ben (James Jagger, son of Mick Jagger) on their journey to create a popular Youtube channel where they explore various ruins. Their expedition brings them to France, where they learn the legend of a fully intact house at the bottom of a lake.

What follows is a terrifying exploration through a fully submerged haunted house with twists, turns, and limited air. This film was shot in France but is in English and switches between standard filming and found footage styles, giving you the perfect amount of that unsettling feeling.

In an interview (see below), the Writers/Directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury speak about filming in Europe’s largest underwater tank, where they actually built the entire house. “The piano was brand new when we put it in.” Julien stated, “It decayed so fast, we had to shoot that scene in one day.”

The Deep House had a budget of five million dollars and shot for thirty-five days! I can not recommend this underwater horror movie enough. I tried to leave this review as spoil-free as possible. So, please know that there is a lot more to this movie that I left out but you can watch the trailer now, and it will for sure pull you in!

The Deep House is now available streaming!
