14 Horror Movies Featuring Couples to Watch this Valentine’s Day!

What better way is there to spend Valentine’s Day than with a loved one getting cozy and watching some romantic horror movies. From new love to old love, and to dead love, we’ve got you covered. So sit back, relax, open a box of chocolates, and enjoy our top 14 picks for a bloody romantic Valentine’s Day!

30 Days Of Night (2007): Alaska can be breathtaking, in more ways than one. The sun is out for thirty days at a time and this means it also sets for thirty days, making it the perfect hunting grounds for a pack of vampires. This blood racing vampire film is based on the comic by Steve Niles.

We put this on the list because the main characters include an estranged couple that still has enough love for each other that they fight for each other’s survival.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992): Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on the classic book by Bram Stoker, this vampire tale is ultimately about undying love. Count Dracula (Gary Oldman) travels to England to court the reincarnation of his lost love, Elizabeta (Winona Ryder). Also starring Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves!

These two star-crossed loves are one of the ultimate couples to watch for Valentine’s Day horror!

Bride Of Chucky (1998): Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) will forever love her boyfriend, Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), the problem is, he put his soul inside of a doll and had been going on a murderous rampage. When she tries to bring him back, things go awry and Tiffany ends up in a doll of her own. She and Chucky do what every normal murderous couple trapped in dolls would do, kill everyone.

This movie is corny in all of the right places. It is one of my favorites in the illustrious Chucky franchise.

Cloverfield (2008): A “found footage” movie in which a giant monster attacks New York. Rob risks his life to get to his girlfriend lily while an unknown threat is taking down the city.

This is easily one of my favorite shaky-cam found footage movies to date.

Let The Right One In/Let Me In (2008/2010): A young child befriends a vampire. That is all you really need to know.

There are two versions of this movie. The original from Sweden and the American remake. By most accounts, the original is better but you can take your pick.

  • Great article Daniel! My favorite on the list is “Shaun of the Dead”. So hilarious. I recently watched “Life After Beth” for research. It’s an interesting film. I still haven’t seen “Unsane”. Putting that in the Q. Might watch it tonight.
