In this LGBTQ horror short film, “The Sermon,“ a woman is persecuted for being a lesbian and what their strict religious congregation calls an “abomination”. A young preacher’s daughter struggles with what unravels in her community.
We found this film to be deeply impactful. Beautifully shot and with an intriguing & eerie score, “The Sermon” is unsettling and important storytelling about this time and society as a whole regarding LGBTQ+ that cascades into the present.
