New Horror Feature Film, Await The Dawn, will have you shaking on your couch!
“You wanna see something really scary?” Await the Dawn is a throwback to the 70s and 80s era of classic horror movies. The film includes a star-studded cast, loads of practical effects, and a beating heart for horror. Await the Dawn is sure to be a future classic.
Starring:
Dee Wallace (E.T, Cujo, Critters), Courtney Gains (The Burbs, Back to the Future, Children of The Corn), and Josh Server (All That, Good Girls Revolt).
Plot: Annie (Wallace) is on a road trip to bring her withdrawing daughter to a rehab center, accompanied by her family, friends, and a doctor (Gains). Their trip, and hopes of a safe journey, get highjacked when a scientist on the run (Server) sneaks onboard their camper. They quickly get confronted by an un-suspected horror. The group must do everything in their power to survive the night!
Written and Directed by: Pablo “Macho” Maysonet IV ( Humbugs, Fear of My Flesh), the film also stars Vernon Wells ( Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Commando), Hannah Strasser (When, I am Jacob), Bruce Davison ( X-Men, The Crucible), Matt O’Neill ( Lighthouse Keeper, Candy Corn) and Married To Horror’s own Daniel Weiss (The People Vs. O.J, The Spearhead Effect).
“I’ve always had a love for all things horror because it focuses on the world’s oldest emotion, fear. Await the Dawn is about fearing the loss of family. The loss of a child motivates one’s character to create something evil while the same fear motivates a family to survive. So for me, I’m interested in seeing how many different paths people can take when influenced by the same type of fear.”
– Pablo “Macho” Maysonet IV, Writer/Director
All of the practical effects were created by Special FX legend Mark Villalobos and his team at Villalobos Studios. As a result, the visuals are terrifyingly amazing.
Await The Dawn has had a healthy festival run and has now found its home on Amazon Prime Video. So what are you awaiting for?! Go watch it!
