Thanksgiving Horror:
From Hulu’s Into the Dark
Series “The Pilgrim”

Written by Charlene Weiss

Check out this Thanksgiving-themed horror show The Pilgrim on Hulu!

The Into the Dark show on Hulu comes from the incredible minds at Blumhouse Productions and is an American Horror Anthology series produced exclusively for Hulu. The first season premiered in 2018 and the second in 2019. Each season consists of 12 terrifying episodes which all have a feature-length running time.

In The Pilgrim, Cody, a child of divorce finds herself in a blended family and unhappy with her busy-body stepmother Anna. Thanksgiving reminds Cody of her parent’s split and sours the holiday for her every year. Because of that Anna, never feeling accepted by Cody, and hires a Thanksgiving reenactment group to show them tradition to bring the family together during the holiday. Unfortunately, it backfires. Starring Reign Edwards (MacGyver), Kerr Smith (My Bloody Valentine), Courtney Henggeler (Cobra Kai), Peter Giles, and Elyse Levesque.

We were excited to see The Pilgrim as the Thanksgiving horror sub-genre is pretty untapped and it definitely left us satisfied. We especially loved Elyse Levesque as Patience. She’s captivating. Filmmakers, make more Thanksgiving horror pretty please!
