Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror

Check out this incredible documentary that delves into the history of African Americans in the horror genre going as far back as the beginning of American Cinema! It discusses the marginalization and roles of people of color in the genre over several decades. Appearances by Jordan Peele, Tony Todd, Keith David, Rachel True, Ken Sagoes, Rusty Cundieff, Loretta Divine, and many more telling the story of black horror in the past, present, and the hope of the future…what I call currently the Black Renaissance in Horror. This film is so important and comes highly recommended by us!

Now streaming on: Amazon Prime, Shudder, and Sling!
