In the wake of Covid19, most haunted attractions have been closed this year due to the real-life horror movie plot that we are all living in. HOWEVER, some haunts are getting creative. Here is a list of featured haunts in Los Angeles, happening in 2020. For a full list of haunts in your state, we found an invaluable resource at www.hauntedhouses.com.
PLEASE NOTE: Check with your local haunts before attending, haunts subject to closures, especially here in California where we can’t seem to get it together. We love you Cali, but come on!

NIGHTS OF THE JACK (October 1 – November 1)
KING GILLETTE RANCH
26800 Mulholland Hwy
Calabasas, CA 91302
We went to their regular walk through last year. It was a lot of fun, family-friendly and very cold. This year they are doing a safe drive-thru, so you can crank that heater up to 11. There is a long trail of beautifully carved and painted pumpkins. Lots of photo opportunities!
Nights Of The Jack
HAUNTED HAYRIDE (September 25 – November 1)
Bonelli Regional Park
120 E Via Verde DR,
San Dimas, CA 91773
We have had ups and downs with the haunted hayride. Some years are better than others. This year is a total toss-up, as it is completely different. You will drive down a long dark road through spooky horror-themed sets to a drive-through screening area. There will be a hosted screening of videos and shorts along with other live scare actors.
Haunted Hayride
THE HAUNTED BARNYARD (October 22 – 23rd, 27 & 31, November 5 – 6)
The Gentle Barn
15825 Sierra Hwy
Santa Clarita, CA 91390
We have not been to an event at the Gentle farms but this seems like a fun one. This year they are doing a drive-thru. The haunted barnyard is an immersive drive-thru experience curated by a team of designers, including a film and theme park set designer, set dressers, costume designers, and make-up artists from Halloween Horror Nights, Knott’s Scary Farm, and Six Flags Fright Fest. There will be multiple scare zones and guided audio through your car stereo.
UPDATE: We were getting ready to attend opening night when we received an email saying that they needed to file a permit that they were told they did not need. Hopefully, they will be able to open up soon. We will keep you posted.
